Lofty - Last year at this time I was where you are now - only weeks into it. Stay strong and stay connected here - the energy and wisdom are all around you. Just settle in and as you live sober you will see that you are doing it - just as I did. Glad my post was of help.
StanleyH - I remember you from last year at this time - my early days. It is nice to feel the mix of old and new here. Some of my first weeks and months were sort of like flying blind and trusting something - maybe the belief that if others could do it so could I (sounds so basic yet I think it was more important than I realized back then). This is why it feels important to re-connect here so others can learn.

Hi Fedup - You can do this too!! Not easy esp. at first but you can make it work for you. Learn from people here at SR - we were all where you are now and felt similiar ways - like this seems impossible. But it isn't.
