Newbie Here

Hi,
I would like to introduce myself. I choose the name as no iron smile because I want to take off my permanent smile to really focus on my issues and be taken seriously.
Today is my 8th day sober and drug free. On Monday night I did crack and ended up in the hospital. My heart is fine and the Dr doesn't know what happened as my blood pressure dropped really low and I had chest pains with a cough and a cold sweat. Although I am fine, I took it as a warning to live sober free and get help.
My plans are therapy, blogs, here, yoga, meditation, my dogs, my sober friends, and journaling.
Right now I am suppose to record my cravings, but they basically are just thoughts as I know I am here to live a better life. I have a high hill to climb, but I will.
Question: Can I start my own blog of my journey here?
The longest I have gone with no alcohol or drugs is 3 days in the past year. A few years ago I went 14 days.

Hi and Welcome,
You can use this thread as a 'journal' of your recovery if you like. Or you can start a blog in that area of the forums.
I'm glad that you found us and that you want to live a sober life.

Thank you Anna.
I am learning about this site. I take it the best place for me to learn is the newcomer chat room. I will work on a blog too. I can do this. I believe in myself. 9days-and still motivated.

Hi noironsmile!!
I saw in another thread you had some questions about aa meetings, etc......I will be glad to help you with stuff like that if you need it. Unfortunate, this isn't my first time trying to quit so I have been around the block a couple of times. We can do it together!!
