It feels great :)

I'm 2 weeks sober today That in itself makes me happy but i'm even more happy that I have helped my brother to quit drinking also.I was the one who got him started (misery loves company I guess) we used to buy a litre of vodka and drink until the bottle was gone.
Then I moved away and he was drinking a half gallon of vodka twice a week.
I talked to him after I quit and he said he doesn't even know why he drinks...out of habit/boredom he supposes.I told him with the money he can save by not drinking he can afford to get himself some cable & internet and find other things to do that don't involve drinking-and he agreed!
Today is day 4 for him and I just ordered him cable & internet yesterday

I plan on telling him about SR when his internet is up and running

Hi Babez-

Congrats on your 2 weeks and helping other struggling alcoholics is a great way to help stay sober ourselves.

Nice work.

Kjell~

I love that! When I've shared my story and said how much better I feel not drinking, a few of my friends have begun to look very closely at their consumption and drinking habits. I can't say that any of them have also quit, but they ARE starting to realize that they need to either cut down, or examine why they drink the way they do. Sometimes it just takes one person changing their lives to have others jump on board. Great stuff.
