Day 20 rehab - Kelly (Triggers)
We were talking about triggers to drink, in my last class:
Anger
Boredom
Hunger
Loneliness
Being tired
etc.
Which is #1? I think, anger.

Cool.....As I read your posts it simply reminds me
of the basic lessons I learned from the very beginning
that I have used thru out my 20 yrs journey. Learning
about certain triggers that I needed to watch for each
day has kept me vigilant in my recovery as I could stay
sober each day.
All those little sayings you hear today and will continue to
hear from here on out are little reminders of triggers that
crop up that so we will intuitively know what to do about
them.
H.A.L.T Hungry Angry Lonely Tired
R.I.D. Restless Irritable Discontent
H.O.W. Honesty Open-mindedness Willingness
W.H.O Willlingness Honesty Openmindedness
.....which ever comes first for each person is different and
Honesty was the last one I got and thus was the Golden Key
to unlock the door to a world of happiness and freedom that
I had not experienced before.
Each of these and others affect each person at different
times of the day or in their lives. Even for you.
Keep learning and absorbing as you continue on ur journey, Kelly.
