Rehab
I plan on embracing sobriety without rehab. How many of you did it alone or went to rehab? If you did go to rehab did you think it was better for you, or you wouldn't have been able to without rehab. I'm not concerned with the health risks of detox, i'm an EMT, I know how to check my vitals and realize when to seek out a Dr.

I could have been a brain surgeon and it wouldn't have helped me.
It's less about the blood pressure (which is important), and more about being removed from alcohol and drugs.
Are your EMT skills going to help you when the urges kick in?

I always recommend seeking professional medical advice, no matter how much training or knowledge you have.
I didn't go to my Dr and I ended up with several mini strokes.
Sure my case was rare but I don't wish that on anybody.
