I am so much more organized now!
It's the little things that amaze me. I truly didn't realize how much alcohol permeated my life.
It used to take me literally about 10 days to unpack from vacation. Just leave my suitcase on the floor in the basement and pick things out of it as needed.
The last time I got back from my (sober) vacation I put laundry on that night. Totally unpacked everything, packed the suitcase away. It just felt like a normal thing to do.
No more piles of mail. No scrambling for things for my son's school. Laundry is (mostly) put away. I'm packing for a trip now and have been putting little things aside for it for a while. Not scrambling, bleary eyed the morning of the trip trying to find stuff.
I know getting sober is hard but man. Sober life is SO MUCH EASIER.
