hi. i am new here....
just wanted to say i am new here on this site. sober since 7/24/2010 but still struggling with unmanageable life. here lately, desire to drink is coming back but still sober just feel dry & hopeless. working the steps by faith.
(((ThriveLive))) - welcome to SR!!
I've been clean, almost 4 years, and though I know longer have the frequent "get numb" urges, I've gotten through a lot of tough stuff thanks to the great people here.
Though our situations, DOC (drug of choice, including alcohol) may be different, I've always found someone who has been through something similar and knowing they "get it" is priceless.
Hugs and prayers,
Amy

Welcome to the group! Just remember, there is nothing that a drink or drug won't make worse. Do you have a sponsor you are working the steps with? Hang in there! *hugs* As someone else mentioned, the tough times are what make us stronger and stronger.

from shakey sobriety into solid recovery...
This can be true for you too.

Welcome TL! I find that coming here every day (and especially reading the newcomers' threads) really helps keep me in touch with my recovery.
It's hard to keep our enthusiasm up sometimes, but a gratitude list can do wonders too......
That fact that you're here shows your commitment......and who knows what might be just around the corner if you maintain your sobriety! Hang in there!:ghug3
