51 things you should know about addiction recovery
Needed to see this today. Thank you so much for posting.
I’m very early in recovery. To emphasize the ending sentiment of the article— I find that when I am doing for others, I feel at my very best and closer to the person I am meant to be. It’s when I feel my best in sobriety.
Slow and steady wins the race—taking my time and working at it each day.
Many thanks!

I needed this too, day 45. I am going to reread this about three times. I’m in a place of wanting to do too much, achieve so much and trying to just manage everyday things. I agree exercise help tremendously. I should get centered and focus more on achieving one thing at a time.

Mariposa, I agree with you: Getting sober is a massive task and sticking with doing just that is plenty for the first six months! No need to start training for a marathon, write the Great American Novel and repaint the Sistine Chapel. There’s always time for that in year 2, lol!
