Nine months today!
Yay! Who would have thought I could go nine whole months without drinking? Not me, that's for sure. With the help of AA and Sober Recovery I have been sober since May 20, 2010.
I really...REALLY...really love all of you here and thank you from the bottom of my heart for your friendship and support. Whether I've posted in your threads, chatted with you, private messaged you, or even fought with you...whether you've been sober for years or you're brand new to this board and to recovery...every single person on SR helps me and makes my life a little better. So thank you again.
If you're just starting out on this journey of recovery, please believe me when I say it CAN be done. Those first few days and weeks can seem impossible, the false starts and relapses can be discouraging, and the confusion and frustration can be overwhelming. But if I can get sober and stay sober for nine months, SO CAN YOU!!!
