Fandy, thanks for recognizing me and how we first got talking here already a year ago. This isn't the first time you have mentioned that either.
Good for you for being able to look at a year now of much change and improvements you wanted!

I lost all my internet service and phone service today at work....so i could not talk to everyone...(what a giant PIMA)....
i just wanted to clarify that I am NOT a whole solid year sober....(yet)....maybe in August we can have something to celebrate....BUT i'm a different person in my head (hopefully in my body later this year) and i have learned a LOT about changing my self-destructive habits....I practice sobriety as much as i can.....i ask myself what should change and work to change it if it works....some things work and some things don't
I'm a work in progress....but I am far from perfect.
thank you all so much for your kindness and lively conversation this year....practicing gratitude is one of the most positive changes I have made....it makes it much easier to be sober.
I am celebrating finding SR with my favorite winter beverage....lemon zinger and blueberry zinger together with a squeeze of fresh lemon and splenda...in my giant clear glass mug, it feels great...(I also love my Keurig).

Fandy, yes, I think some posters missed your clarification earlier today. Maybe this can count as "6 months" of continuous sobriety then, since it's about 6 months since whatever day in August you are thinking of.
But aside from the literal count of sober months, I am looking at this thread as "one year since a significant change in outlook got started."

I'm certainly not giving up....i thought 2010 went pretty well (for my expectations)...I am working towards making 2011 even better for myself emotionally and physically.
I would like to say that I see myself in so many others postings....feeling sad, feeling bad and feeling happy and grateful. i appreciate feeling well and not being numb to my feelings anymore.

Heavyn, i was worried about that and went into my CP and changed everything....(on the 15th of course.)..I still appreciate the thoughts and you all are keeping me on the right path....
RZ i needed that hat this am, because my hair looked like Don King had styled it while i was walking the dog.
I feel very grateful this morning and am headed off to one of my favorite areas of the forum.
