Yes I did, I made it through 1st day sober without much discomfort. Could not sleep till 3 am but slept till 8.30 am and it was much better than I anticipated.

I feel more good about this as it was the 1st time in last 7 years, I did this through my choice and was not forced due to some events/responsibilties. I did have a choice to drink yesterday night and I chose not to drink.

Thank you all at SR for excellent support and I will keep at it .

Well done, Keep being positive. My 2nd nights sleep was great lots of dreams. I am halfway through my 3rd day. I can feel my body literally cleaning up. Drink lots of fluids. Flush your system out.

good on ya. The first day is the beginning of the rest of your normal life. There is really no reason at all to consume this poison anyway. It doesn't do ANYTHING for you but make you miserable and depressed. congrats

Try and be good to yourself in these first few days and at least for me i jumped into going to meetings right away. Keep the Faith.

Congratulations, the first day is probally the hardest if you were a daily drinker, because you stop the cycle. I'm on day 17 and feeling really good. SR is a great place to be, glad you're here.
