Meet the Newbie!
Hello all!
Just stumbled across these forums the other day, so yes, I'm the new guy! Looks like I can learn a lot from everyone here, hopefully give some help too!
A little about me: I'm 23. I was using Opiates, Alcohol, Marijuana, etc - too much to often. I love computers (fixing them, tinkering, etc), gaming and quite a few other things. I think I'm still trying to find my place in living sober. I've been sober since Oct. 11th, 2010(Finally!
). I've been working at it since May 09. Although I'm young and only 3 months sober, throughout my struggles I've gained a lot of wisdom and at this point I'd really like to help anyone in need!
I'm currently taking Suboxone and Gabapentin (sp?). I have a bit of experience with Suboxone so fire away with questions if you've got any. Gabapentin, not so much - but it does keep the anxiety down without taking any benzos. I know that I could not responsibly take any benzos.
So I'm here to gain knowledge, give knowledge and fill up some time.

Hi to everybody,
l've just found this site but found sobriety 4/4/2009. l had been drinking wine daily just to "feel normal" Today l live one day at a time, and just for today, will not pick up the first drink.
l've been reading the posts and every-one is so positive and supportive of the newcomer,

Thank you to everyone giving me a warm Welcome! And a welcome to the newcomers that posted as well.
I'm glad to be here. I've been pretty busy the last couple days, getting school organized and all that... It feels really good to do positive things for me and my life.
