I need a short motivational/inspirational poem. - Wasn't sure where to post this!

Hello! I am a brand new member of this website and I am looking for a short motivational or inspirational poem for my dad. He is a recovering addict and he's been clean for almost a year and a half now and I'm so proud of him! He goes to NA regularly and he's always doing step work, so I decided I would get him a really nice journal for Christmas. But before I give it to him, I want to find a nice short poem to write on the inside cover. If anyone has a suggestion, that would be so great! And thank you so much!

Welcome.....
What a nice idea.

I suggest you find The Serenity Prayer
have it framed for him. with your picture.

Google for recovery stores....I'd start with Hazelton.
My son gave one to me years ago...I treasure it.

It's this one.......
The Serenity Prayer

.God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change,
courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.

I find this peom very inspirational to my recovery. I like reading it every day when I wake up and before I lay my head down at night. It sort of reminds me of the things I should be doing in my daily recover.

At Day's End by John Hall

Is anybody happier because you passed his way ?
Does anyone remember that you spoke to him today ?
The day is almost over, and its toiling time is through;
Is there anyone to utter now a kindly word of you ?
Can you say tonight, in parting with the day that's slipping fast,
That you helped a single brother of the many that you passed ?
Is a single heart rejoicing over what you did or said;
Does the man whose hopes were fading, now with courage look ahead?
Did you waste the day, or lose it ? Was it well or sorely spent ?
Did you leave a trail of kindness, or a scar of discontent ?
As you close your eyes in slumber, do you think that God will say,
"You have earned one more tomorrow by the work you did today" ?
