OK..once again a bit morbid...but...this is uplifting for me.....
Last week after the funeral of several friends, the topic in the family turned to songs for my mom's funeral (I know I know)...she is 82 and has worked on aids projects and with hospice for 20 years...so death is something she speaks freely of lol
I told them this is the song I have chosen for her funeral as it reflects on how she has lived her life...
OK don't shoot me..she really encourages this sort of thing lol
Phil Oches who wrote this song, commited suicide at the age of 30. His life was a life lived courageously standing up to the world in which he lived...His poetry has changed my life and inspired me over the years!

my computer is running too slow..so I can't listen..darnit to darn!
I don't think it's morbid to think along those lines, ananda.
I used to tell my daughter that for my funeral I wanted everyone to sit in this very beautiful church we know and listen to Mozart's requim.
She jokes and tells me no one would sit there for that long.
She's right.
