Oxy withdrawal - Restless Body

Hi,

I don't really have the energy to introduce myself right now. My last oxy was Sunday night. I had about a 200mg/day habit. I have used about 80mg of hydro over the past 3 days in an attempt to not feel like total hell and slowly come off. Today I have only taken one Vicodin. Real withdrawal is finally kicking in. I have a multitude of clonidine, compazine, Immodium, etc... But I don't know what to do about THIS TERRIBLE FEELING ALL OVER MY WHOLE BODY LIKE I WANT TO JUMP OUT OF MY SKIN. I am at work right now and I am just rocking and moving and AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH HELP!!! I am about 4 minutes away from taking a morphine to get the edge off... But if I just DO THIS now, it will be OVER.

AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Can you take a few days off work till you're through the worst of it?

It's almost the weekend...

I am prepping my work stuff so that if I call in sick tomorrow, it's manageable for everyone else.
I am also afraid to be home alone all day, honestly. At least at work I can keep my mind off of it.
But yeah, this is no good. I am good for a couple minutes, then wanting to crawl out of my skin.

Have you talked to your dr and does he know what you're doing?

I hope that you feel better tomorrow and that some rest will help.

I actually haven't spoken with my doctor. I'm embarrassed to say that I'm a medical professional in the drug recovery community myself, so I know exactly what I'm doing.

I am also clearly an idiot for falling into the same traps I see people suffer through every day. It's like people who smoke despite seeing a parent die of lung cancer.

I'm going to make it through this, though. It's gonna be a long subway ride home, I know that much!

Thanks for caring.

If you start feeling really badly please get medical help. I'm glad you found us and joined our recovery family.

Nobody is immune from addiction--not doctors or lawyers or nurses or police officers or addition workers.

Do you have a friend who could check in on you and see how you are doing tomorrow?

Hi takingflight

I encourage you to see your doctor - embarrassment or not - it's often better to hand over the management to someone else, I think.

I hope you feel better soon - feel free to look around in our substance abuse forum too

welcome to SR
