One Year Anniversary
I guess today is the official day. It doesn't feel any different than yesterday. However, throughout the year there have been stages: I was relieved at three months to be sober, proud of myself at six months for all that I was able to accomplish because I did not have booze in my life, grateful to God for the peace and serenity i was finding at nine months and lately I think to myself how wonderful life is because I have my sobriety and recovery. Without my alcoholism and my recovery I would not be the woman I am today. Thank you SR for being a support system. I found you recently, probably at a time when I needed to and didn't know it.

Congratulations! Happy birthday etc. It is wonderfully amazing that life just gets better and better in sobriety even if exterior circumstances do not change the change in our bodies and brains, at least in mine, is absolutely awesome.
