Positivity: A good reminder
Feeling pretty positive today. I screwed up dinner pretty badly, but I am happy to say it's because I got a little too adventurous, and not because I was too drunk to realize what I was doing.
Even a sober failure is better than some drunken success!
I never would have seen the positive "bright side" if I had been drinking. I'm actually starting to see things in a better light. I'm more upbeat, I have energy, and my attitude is improving.
But before I get ahead of myself, today is today, and tomorrow will be tomorrow. I'm just relishing the moment for now...taking it nice and easy.
One....day....at....a....time.

Yip Yip, dee!
I love the Yip Yip aliens. The telephone "brrrring!" is my cell phone ring tone.
Anyway, I just think my head is in a good direction right now. I know I'm gonna have some tough times ahead, but today was ok.

The downside/upside to screwing something up now is that I can't blame it on booze (well, legitimately, I never really could because it was ME and MY responsibility). But to be honest, I make a lot fewer mistakes now, and that is something to be positive about!
Thanks everybody for the upbeat vibes...I love this place!

starting day 10 over here...I think you're around the same time June? Great post...my "mistake" this morning was reacting to my 5 year old spilling orange juice all over the computer. I'm telling you, if I were hung over from drinking a glut of wine the night before, I would have went ballistic. Instead, it was a simple clean-up and we moved on. Everyday I'm finding myself responding in a much saner way to situations in my life. I can't believe how sick and twisted my mind is on alcohol. Thanks for posting June and everyone else.

Renee - I can TOTALLY relate. My 4-year old has made some major errors lately, and I've actually handled them in stride!
Yeah, wine was my poison (literally) as well.
Is it day 10 already? Gosh, I already lost count hahaha...I stopped on the 26th. I guess I need to pay more attention - I thought I was day 9.
