I came home yesterday from a long stay at the mental hostpital for bipolar II, after being stuck in major depression for 11 days; crying 80 percent of every day. I didn't feel much better there even though they were changinging up my meds and working with me every day in a very structured atmosphere. I started abilify and began to feel a little bit better but I'm still suffering for parts of each day.
My plan is to add the structure back in my life that I once had. I am also going to do ECT (electric convulsive therapy) and I'm a bit apprehensive. 3 different doctors seem to think it will be best for me because meds can't seem to snap me out of this.
I am asking for prayers, I need all I can get.

I'm sending prayers, too, for you and for the doctors treating you. Try to focus on whatever positive thoughts you can, even if it's just for a second or two. Also, I think sometimes it helps to have a little "object" (a little angel statuette, token, photo, teddy bear, whatever!) to hold onto during those really dark times in our lives.

I hope this depression lifts really soon and that your medication/ECT turns everything around for you. :ghug3
