Yet another new beginning.
Yet another new beginning.
Once again I am at that point were I need to start with the sober time again. As I mentioned in another thread I seem to go in monthly cycles of not being able to control my drink. I have 3 weeks off and then a week of drinking. I do not drink to get "plastered" I am just in a "zone". I need to work out what my triggers are and learn how to cope better.
A am not keen on certain aspects of AA so does anyone know of any different programmes in th UK which are more secular?

spen,
I found Rational Recovery to be very helpful. You can probably get the book at the library. I don't care for all the AA bashing in it as it seems a little neurotic to me but the plan is good for me.
Check out the stickies at the top of the forums. Good info there!
Love,
Lenina
