How do I stop
All of my life I have been a user, if it is not drugs or booze its people. A form of self protection I would guess.

Our lifes have changed forever because of my addiction, I am days maybe a few weeks away from the loss of our home, I have no job, my wife has had it and I no longer have any respect of my children.

I know I have to go into recovery, I must, I have a question for those who may have been through this.

Is my Wife and Children able to draw on any benefits of mine say SSI or Disability. I have no income, no insurance, just lost my job after being off work for 10 months. We are broke, loosing our family home.

I have no idea what to do next

First things first. I can't advise on your financial situation, though I can say with a fair degree of certainty that it won't get any better so long as you're still using.

Have you tried AA or NA?

You might try to contact a Legal Aid service in your city and try to get the information from them.

Thanks all, heck of a thing, I sign up then the site goes down for upgrades

Just seems I get more bad news everyday, no job, more bills, more, more, more

I have exhausted all avenues for work, missed my mens group last night and today brings another day in Paradise.

I sure can find empathy for those folks who find the end of the rope, certainly glad I have a new perspective on things at the moment. Some of it is cynical but ll is positive. I just wonder where all the good has gone in this world, when a hand shake was a bond and your word was your word.

My last employee hired me through the holidays to allow his employees vacation time. Jan 7 he tells me no work stay home
