Hello
Hi,
I started on my own and came across this site. I have been drinking for about 15years I am 30. Today is day 9 for me and I am excited. I ended up at a family event Sunday and was around the alcohol. i found it easier to just say I can't drink because I am an alcoholic. People just don't push it at you then. Well...I have stopped before , I just never admitted I was truly an alcoholic.

congrats on 9 days.. it's those first days that are so hard.
I hope if you feel you can't do it alone, that you find some type of help. I don't know anyone *yet* that has done this thing with no support at all.

Hang onto that excitement and enthusiasm Shaun. Recovery is a serious rollercoaster ride, just be sure you don't try to get off in the middle.
