7 and 58 is not old! I know the joys of what children bring, (I have just 1 child) and know my birthday would not of been so bittersweet, without his love.
I'am a newcomer and truely love to read when U post, always seems to come from the heart and can feel your humility.

I am having quite a day today. I was thinking about Step work and concacted my sponsor about Step 10 and was then thinking about amends I could do and thought about the manager at the last job I had nearly 12 months ago. She had let me go because I was being slack and dishonest in my time sheets not because they laid lots of ppl off although they did that too. She told me at one point that I had done good work and that if I stopped mucking around with the time sheets (being dishonest, lying and cheating) then I had work for life with them.
I spoke to her today and made amends and she was so gracious and now I see that I have carried this before into recovery and been in denial about my defects and my behaviour, thats why I have been brought so low, to learn about my short comings and to be made humble. I understand now and have changed my attitude and will change my actions from now on.
