Red face

Hi Debs, Congrats on day four. We really have to take extra good care of

ourselves in early recovery. Most of us can't afford the fancy recovery centers

or to check in to a treatment facillity so. Take Extra long showers, massages,

stretching, good sleep, vitamins, lots of agua, we are healing and detoxing.

I'm so proud of you! Now soon it will be 5 wonderful, sober days. Hang tight, I'm doing the same.

Yea for you!!!! A friend of mine whose sponsor was a real "old timer" in the program insists that drinking orange juice with honey in it - quite a bit of honey - is the best thing to drink in the first few days of de-toxing. Sounds kind of gross but I used it after I relapsed and grew to love it! Oh - and chocolate is good to help replace the sugars from the alcohol, too. Good for you on the exercise and the ice cream - de-tox is no time to diet!!! Hang in there - you're almost free of the physical addiction and you'll be feelin' great! Really! You're courage is awesome!

Day 4!!! Things will get better shortly. Now's the time to start thinking about the positive steps you are making and why. What's next? It's no longer a question of whether you can do it or not, you know you can!
