2nd Night and I Could Really Use Support!
Starting to sweat..feeling extremely anxious...Really want to make it through the night.
Any words to help me get through this would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you
Nicky

Welcome IWant2BFree!!!
I am on day 2 as well...horrible fighting these urges but just focus on what got you here and why you NEVER want to go back...I am certain some experienced board members will be along shortly to offer some great advice!! Just wanted to welcome you and let you know you are not alone!!

The withdrawals suck! But they are very short term. And then you will feel so much better. For me the anxiety was the hardest to deal with. I just felt this terrible sense of impending doom. But it got better everyday! Gone by the end of the week.
You're doing the right thing. Talk here. Read here. Try doing something nice for yourself if you can. Nice clean sheets to sweat into? Veg out and watch a movie? Go for a walk? Have you considered going to a meeting? What do you think might help?
I'm rooting for all 3 of you! Good job! I swear, this will pass faster than you think!

Chamabama's right, it does get better.
Whatever you do don't drink, it only puts you back to the start of the process.
By this time next week you should feel fantastic and ready to carry on with your new sober life.
Yep it takes a bit of pain and hard work but its so worth it.
All the best.

Welcome to SR!!
Hang on and spend as much time as possible taking care of yourself! Get plenty of rest, drink lots of water and fruit juice, & eat several small meals often. If it gets really bad, please seek medical help.

Thank you everyone. At that moment I was into the "Maybe it's not THAT bad" thinking. Read responses and went for a 4 mile walk. Feel beat up and exhausted but better for right now. Off to try to sleep.
