I officially have 8 days. Made it through the weekend. Finally heeding my sponsor's advice, learning that taking it one day at a time really does help.

Let me re-phrase that, today is day 8. So, I guess technically I have 7 days and so many hours? So do I say 7 or 8?

Littlebluedog I damn near drank myself to death trying to do it my way, funny thing I have found how things seem to get better when I am willing to try things the way others who have experience staying sober suggest to me.

I have to laugh at myself, some of the things I have been told are so stinking simple, yet for some reason when I was running the whole show I could not grasp them!

Congrats on your 8 days sober, that is AWESOME!!!! A non-alcoholic has no idea how big that is, but your fellow alcoholics know just how darn big of an achievement that is!

Not trying to do it alone made such a difference for me as well.
