OT Google map

I have used google earth beofre. Youn know the aerial view of anywhere in the world. But my cousin showed me something today that I never knew about. It was on google map. You just type in the address just like google earth. but you get street level , 360 degree view of that address and you can even click on down the road. It is not a top aerial view. It is like someone is standing right in front of your house with a camera.
It was pretty cool. But at the same time freaked me out.
How the heck do they do that?
Its like you are standin right in the front yard and can look all around at street level and zoom in and all that.
I am so glad I am not gettin high anymore. If I would have seen that and got high. Hole ****!! Talk about paranoia!!!

there arent any cameras on our street that I am aware of. Or the satellite they use for that is super magnifying.

It was amazing!

Kind of blows you away doesn't it? People drove every street in America with a rotating camera on top of their car. And I thought I had too much free time.
Here's downtown where I live. It's rush hour.

To save a pic like this one when you get to where you want to take a picture of go the the full screen view. Then you hit the "Print Screen" button on the upper right of your keyboard.
Then you open "paint". When paint opens you type CTL and V at the same time. This will paste your picture in paint. Then save it as a JPG.
You can edit your photos in "paint" before you save them if you want.

Yes, that's Downtown. It's almost time for the annual tumbleweed races. This town really comes to life when that happens.

I LOVE google maps, earth, universe and I think they finally finished the ocean one.. crazy stuff. For many many years maps have been about my most favorite thing ever (I have no idea why...), and I just adore Google Earth. I had to take it off my work computer, I could sit there all day every day and travel around.

Oh, and the street view thing freaked me out at first, cuz I thought it was a live view LOL.. obviously that's not possible (yet). I remember when it first came out though, some of the pics were busting people where they shouldn't be, taking pics of inappropriate things (couple making out in a park,... etc). Funny stuff

Adore-you sound like me the other night. My husband was out and we have like a million remotes for the tv, video, dvd....could I figure out which one to use just to watch the freakin tv?

I pushed every button on every one there and ended up going to bed and reading a book.(and discovered later all I had to do was turn the damn tv on-at the wall.....)

Um

Thanks ((Trish))
