Early Spring Cleaning
Happy Sober Sunday Everyone!
I am excited to say that I have been sober 6 months! I want to thank you all for your sharing, support and encouragement. I'm looking forward to celebrating one year with you.
Somethings have changed around here. AH and I are separated. One too many binges for me.
I am now riding the emotional roller coaster of being separated from my spouse. Anger, loneliness, sorrow, guilt, peace......up and down I go, but I'm doing it sober.
This past week, I experienced an episode of anger from hell! Screaming, yelling and crying. The angrier I wanted to be with him, made me realize I was just as angry at me. Stupid things I said, did, put up with, ignored, etc.
Afterwards, I decided to do some major cleaning. I needed more cabinet space in my kitchen. The liqour cabinet was just wasted space with all those bottles of liqour!
Yep! Cleaned that pupppy out! Our house has a septic system, so I did not want to pour it down the sink. I was also afraid the trash company would not be able to lift the trash can if it was full of liquid filled bottles. So, I used the liqour as weed control on my back fence. Pints, fifths, litres and half gallons of everything from cordials to tequila drained out back. My dog tried to lick up the baileys.
Next I went to the fridge in the garage and emptied 1 1/2 cases of beer and used it as fertilizer in my flower beds. This place smelled like a distillery!
I am not angry today. I am at peace.

Faaaaaaaaantastic, Pelican! Nothing like an anniversary to set things right.
A huge congrats on 6 months. Another huge congrats on moving forward with your life.
I'm sitting here giggling about your dog and the Baileys...surely there is a commercial spot in there somewhere!

Hey Pelican sorry to hear about the separation. Good for you on the house cleaning, funny way to dispose of the 'goods'.
