I made it to day 141...whoa! that was close!

I just want to let ya'll know that I made it through my crisis, thanks to my HP and you guys and your kind words and support. I'm so grateful that I found this site. Last night...wow! That was a close call. After my last post, I got on my hands and knees and prayed that the strong urge that I had to use would go away. I then got out all of my notes from rehab and read through them. I then cleaned the house and came across the last birthday card that I had received from my mom (before she died), and read it. She wrote how much she loved me, and how proud she was of me. I found that card last night at just the right time! I had a good long cry...and then the urge to use left me.
So here I am...141 days clean.

Thanks again

Awesome. I am so glad you made it through. There really is nothing like a good long cry to put us in a different mindset. Glad you found us. There are a ton of supportive people here and you going on 141 days will be an inspiration to all of us.

That is a fabulous and inspiring post, I'm glad you got through a hard time. You should be very happy with yourself with what you achieved and much stronger too. Give yourself some kind of nice treat as a reward!

Great job!! You succeeded!!!

I haven't had an urge in a while (i'm 118 today), But I will remember this post on a day that I do (i'm an alcoholic, it's inevitable)... just know you are an inspiration to many!

Thanks for sharing

Congratulations! You prayed and then found that card from your Mom. No coincidences in my book. Good job!!

I agree with Horselover. No coincidences there. Sometimes you get what you need when you need it. You just have to be open to it.
