The cost of it all

Sorry for posting again - my mind is ticking over very fast!!

Much is written about the emotional cost of drinking to the individual and to those around the individual.

I was thinking about the financial cost too and was trying to work out how much it was costing me a month to fuel. I was not counting just money spent on alcohol, but also the ancillary behaviours that drinking and its subsequent behaviours create. In all - I figured that I was probably spending about £500 (thats about $750) a month. Thats about a third of my take home pay. And for what? When I think about that and all the money I am going to save, and all the other cool things I can do, its another realy good reason to remain sober.

Cheers guys - stay well

Paul

That's another great reason to stay sober Paul!

I know over the last 7 years it has cost me about a few 3 bed detached houses worth at least including the gambling! I say that not with a smile on my face and also not with a heavy heart, i do feel like a bit of a ***** though when there are loads of people out there with not very much money! Can only try and do better things with my money from now:-)
