New Addiction....

Sober mornings!! I know I posted about this last week as well, but I am sitting at my desk feeling motivated and fantastic. Unbelievable! What a difference a week makes. I love this sober feeling! No guilt, no headache, no screaming thirst!

Happy Sober Monday everyone!!

Sweet feeling eh? Certainly don't miss waking up at 2 am with my tongue feeling like a shriveled up piece of leather wrapped cotton after 2 hours under a hot blow dryer....

Awesome Snowdog!!!

I'm lovin' life right along side ya, friend! 18 days ago I could barely even move, let alone look outside and see the sun shining! Knelt over the toilet and yada yada yada... you all know the rest!

Today.... jogging and working out are my new addiction(s)! I don't want to let anymore of Life pass me by - drunk! Taking my life back and kicking some good serious butt in the process!

Way to go with 1 week! Yeah! February is starting off SWEET!

Hugs xoxox, Nicki :ghug3:ghug3

And when you get tired....it's a good tired.........not an ill, yucky tired. I find my sense of humor is starting to come back. It's something, isn't it all?

Rock on!! Sober mornings are great!!

Yes, I thought about that yesterday when I realized I sleep through the night and I don't have to get up to chug water at 4:30 am. and pray to get back to sleep!!

Nor am I driving to work drunk from the night before.

YAY!

So true; I used to hate getting to work, riding in a packed elevator, wondering if I still smelled like liquor.

My coffee addiction is through the roof now.

I am going to start keeping a special journal of all the little, wonderful, things that I am discovering about sobriety. Then hopefully when my AV starts calling to me, I can pull out my list of all the reasons not to drink.

I went for a walk at lunch and it felt so good to... well... feel so good!

Thanks to everyone here for the support!

I'll never be a morning person, but things are a million times easier.

The difference now in waking up sober is incredible. I was either drunk or hungover and completely paranoid for the entire week. Ok I'm still struggling with insomnia and cravings but am so grateful that I no longer have to go through the horrors of hangovers. I think I binge drank so much that I was going through a mini detox everytime. The sweating, shaking and total despair has now gone and I am so so happy that I won't have to go through that ever again. So though I am NOT a morning person I love waking up in the morning just feeling normal
