Hey Jersey!!!!
Has any one told you they love you today? If not let me be the first, I love you!
I love the ES&H you bring to this board from your years of sobriety, thank you.

You're all too kind! I always hope something I say will strike a chord along the way...of course, you realize nothing I say is "original"...thank goodness my long-term memory has served me well with all the little gems stored from the many AA meetings.
I love it, parentrecovers!!!
Yes...we still have Bingo...every night but Sunday, plus Saturday afternoon. One of the women in Activities is sooooo generous...she has cash prizes whenever she calls the games. I've been fairly lucky...I like to say, "I'm self-supporting through Sharon's contributions." Currently have about $10. in winnings...not bad, considering it's usually $1. for each special game. It helps to have a little cash for the vending machines...a bit of chocolate lifts the spirits, dontcha know!
Much of my time is spent on the pc...between SR and a lot of games...mostly bridge. One of the visitors passing saw me at the computer and said, "It helps keep you young." I said, "Actually, it helps keep me sane." Being surrounded by dementia patients can be a bit depressing at times. I never truly understood the meaning of ADD until I came here.
I think I'm very fortunate to have quit drinking when I did...Heaven knows what condition my brain would be in by now...assuming I survived and still had a couple of brain cells left to rub together!
