Yes....here is a link you might not be aware of

Also..
have you had a recent check up + eye and dental exams??
I neglected to do that when I was drinking.
Hope you feel better quickly
Dancinggirl I had headaches and nausea for about 2 wks. on and off and then it all stopped. I think it could partly be that your body wants it's sugar fix as anvilhead pointed out. I still crave candy & for some reason coffee with those really sweet creams. It pacifies me for some reason, but I need to kick that stuff too. Love, Joanie

I also think it might be the sugar. I am going to the doctor tomorrow for the results of blood tests. They think I might have diabetes but I think it is just the sugar and alcohol.
Of course I haven't been truthful with the doctor about my alcohol consumption. Haven't we all done that before. I am going to wait until I see the results and then decide what to do.

I remember even being told to have a candy bar and even keep it in my pocket when I had some anxiety or whatever in my first early sobriety in 1992. because the body wants sugar it isn't getting from the alcohol.

Thanks all! I'm feeling better today. I think I haven't been keeping a clear eye on what I've been eating and I got out of whack with too many hours inbetween meals and too much coffee.

In the "good old days", when we used to 12-Step newcomers (help them stay sober and get to meetings), we would have hard candies available, fruit juices (cranberry especially good), suggest B-vitamins, and limit the caffeine intake. These are all things we learned ourselves in detox/rehab.
