Talk about strange.
I don't remember much, except looking down at a 5th of scotch in my hands & wondering how I got it and why.
It really weirded me out. Anyone else ever do this? Is my brain telling me to drink? Ha ha

I too have strange dreams relating to my struggle to stay sober. I don't know if your brain is "telling" you to drink, maybe just long standing habit and your brain is 'thinking it over'.
Just be glad you didn't do it in your waking life!

hi,
those are just dreams guys, lol. if you dreamed about finding a bag of hundred dollar notes buried in your backyard, would you be askin if you should get a shovel?
dreams are dreams... and sometimes nightmares. in the land of peter pan and tinkerbell, all things are magical

Last year I had a bout 2 months sober, and into probably my second week or so I started having similar dreams. I would dream I was drinking and when I woke up I would feel so horrible and guilty, until I realized it was just a dream.

I haven't had much dreaming lately. I love dreams.
even using dreams....sometimes they are scary but a dream is like a gift from the universe where the rules of our world don't apply.
i want to start having more dreams.
thanks for sharing. a using dream is a gift in my book. can be a great reminder to keep focused on recovery

Nothing to worry about, when I first got sober I had them quite a bit, I rarely have them any more, Now I have smoking dreams!!!! It has been 10 months since my last cigarette and those dreams are coming less often as well.
The drinking ones shook me a lot more then the smoking ones though.

For all of my pregnancies I would have nightmares that I had started drinking and then would remember half-way through that I was pregnant and not supposed to drink. I'd wake up in a panic, terrified that I drank! I never did....I think it was my subconcious way of making sure I didn't.

Honestly, Taz...I can't even remember! I know I used to have them fairly often in the very beginning. But, the last one must have been so long ago... And, I realized, of course, that I don't have much control over my subconscious.
