I have been working my recovery for awile now and it really does pay off. No matter how good or bad the days are, as long as I work my recovery I can get through the hard times without turning to the bottle. It is not easy and takes alot of work, but it is worth it. I used to turn to the bottle everytime life started to go down hill. Now I turn to my HP and my group for help when I hurt or feeling depressed. I no longer need to drink to feel good. I have got new friends and life is just going good. I am glad that my sponsor and i go out to speaker comitments that also helps with my recovery and i love it. This shows me that I still need to work even harder, and I also know that I cant come relaxed with my recovery. While recovery things do start to get better and better as long as we are willing to do the work and keep going no matter what.
