3 weeks today
Hey All- I have 3 weeks clean and sober today. A long time for me. Been a long time since I've had 3 weeks ( in a row) I've been to a mtg every night this week...got a sponsor, a home group, and a service position. Trying to take suggestions this time and suspend my disbelief and that little voice that says its too late....too late for me...not anyone else just me. I still feel wierd coming back after so many tries and fails...but the desire to not drink is stronger than my bruised ego...I hope it stays that way. Thanks everybody for the support and everything.

How well I know the feelin' Rob....a 6th time re-tread myself. Yes.
Recovery IS for us!!!!!!!!!!! Hallelujah!
Congrats on three weeks.
Taking simple suggestions...I am doing the same thing too now..and it is
making all the difference.
Because none of us has all the answers. :chatter
I will be praying for you....
:praying:
Love,

Congratulations Robzoloft! Not just on the three weeks but also the fact that you picked yourself up, brushed yourself off and lived to start all over again. This is a very humbling disease, believe me I know. I spent 32 years using and 28 of those years bouncing in and out of the Program. Oh, yes, I know, it only gets worse each time. But I can hold my head up high and proudly say that I have 2 years, six months and 5 days Clean, Sober and Blessed! It's never too late. And as far as the saying goes,"You can't teach an old dog new tricks?" I am living proof that the expression is not true. I read your reply on another post where you admitted the things you did when you were using. You seem to have taken some huge steps this time and for that also, I'd like to say congratulations. May you find the peace inside that I have found in this wonderful new life that you have chosen!
