Merry Christmas everyone!

Well, I'm on day 5. I'm starting to feel a little better, I think. I just feel like I have been hit by a train. The last five days have been really tough. I look like I've lost some weight, my face is starting to look thinner.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas day!

Wow!

Great work on the 4+ days! I'm on day 9 and the first days are hellish but so worth it. Never have to go through it again. Have a great Christmas.

Well, I have made it 8 days. I'm starting to have more energy, which is good. I just can't believe I let myself get so bad with drinking. That stuff is poison. At times I feel depressed because of the stupid **** I did and said while I was drunk.

Hi Danielson.,

Good work on the 8 days. I'm on day 12 so we are right around the same place in terms of the physical stuff - alcohol out of the system, better rested, more energy. Mentally, I'm also still kicking myself for the stuff I did and the people I let down. It's tough but I think that you really have to accept that the past is what it is & move forward - just let it go. Each day really does get better. That being said, my mind does still go to that dark place but I'm working on it! Truthfully, in the future I hope that I will only think of my horrid drinking history if/when I get the urge to drink again.

Congratulations on the 8 days! You will continue to feel better.

As for the stupid ****

Truly, we all have it back there in our wacked out alcoholic past. Guess that's why it's one of the steps for those in AA. Whether in a program, through counseling, or in our own way, we have to deal with it/let it go. Otherwise it will mess with us and our sobriety indefinitely.

Keep posting!

Peace
