Hey Jeff- I'm at work right now so I can't really post too much.....I too had periods of long term sobriety in the past and messed up....I've been in and out of AA since 1983...I too have burned many , many bridges ( and people)..hang in there, I'll post more later...FYI- I'm back at 10 days ( with all the guilt, shame and remorse you could ever want

was going to meetings regularly..was active in my meetings then to be honest, got my ego back started making lots of $ and forgot where I came from Now I can't understand the choices i'm making...

i'm in it...up all night trying to stop...tried going back to my old mon night meeting could'nt do it...sick thing is I know what to do.....very freaked out...

Still have any of those $$$ left? If so, I'd get my butt to a good rehab. That's what I had to do so I could be somewhere safe where I didn't have to take care of myself, and could totally let go, surrender, and go through the agony I had to go through. And the therapy and program work sure didn't hurt!

Check out ppgaadallas.org, they have a list of meetings all over that are solution based ... the formate is not like that of most groups. It could be exactly what you need....it saved my life!

You already said it, you know what to do. 7 years will pretty well speak for them self, if what you did worked and you stopped doing that, you may have the clue in there as to what the problem was. I am not making light of your situation simply reminding you that all the tools are at your feet and it is up to you if you pick them up.

I am in So Cal as well and in fact do business in La Quinta now and then. If you want to chat, please feel free to send me a private message and I will be more than happy to stay sober myself being of service to you. I am in Upland.

I am considereing, been to Betty Ford in the desert here twice..."impatient" been to 3 others...not sure of anything but the fact that my way doesent work .feel i must surrender and truly give up my life..not sure why it's so tough truly insane..My father died 4 years ago last friday..I quess another excuse....

I think all or most of us have been where you are today, or something similar. Do you know how many people stand up at meetings and say almost word for word what you said about ego and money and how they figured they didn't need meetings anymore? Trust me, if you go back, no one will judge you; most likely a lot of them have done the same thing.
