Fatigue
Fatigue
This is day 7 for me, and I AM SO TIRED. I could truly nod off if given the chance. I expected the opposite, actually -- more energy.
Is fatigue a symtom of detox or is this just more coincidence.
Or -- as I'd explained in an earlier post -- the day seems SOOOO long. Maybe this it?
Whatever the case may be, I hope it changes!

I have 7 months and I still fatigue easily sometimes.
It all depends on how racked up your body got during drinking, among other things I would guess.
Also, you're in really early sobriety. Yeah, maybe still de-toxing even.

I'm in my 3rd week and I am still very tired. I get bursts of energy that dont last long. Then I get really tired.
And time seems to be dragging for me too.
I think it all has to do with your body getting rid of all the nasty chemicals and healing itself.
I notice that if I am very sick and I get high it is like instant sick relief. But when i would come down my body would be 10 times worse.
You can only do so much to your body. It needs to catch up and heal.
But I am right with you. IT will pass though.
I do know that.
Hang in there.

I think our bodies had to do so much adjusting to keep up with our alcohol levels, and now they are trying to re-adjust without all of that. I have the fatigue problem, too, along with fluid-retention problems that are making my doctor concerned about kidney/liver stuff, but hopefully nothing serious going on. And SO much to catch up on, that I let slide (money, work, life issues). Depression setting in, and trying like mad to fight that, and the fatigue doesn't help. Trying to look forward and look for more positive signs and threads here. This site is such a blessing. Thanks to all. KM.
Thank You!
AGREED!!! It supports much of what all of you are saying...
And Grateful Heart -- it appears that I'm a day behind you in sobriety. I'm 6 days, 22 hours and some minutes along in my journey.
Let's keep it up! If you're like me, this forum's definitely getting me through. Kudos to you all.

I followed the eating plan in the back of
"Under The Influence" along with the vitamin's
Dr. Milam suggested.
Many alcoholics follow an eating plan for hypoglycemia.
