i got there early and it had most likely been sitting there since the meeting on thurs. so i checked the phone list inside and called "father." i explained to him that i had found his child's phone. he was very very grateful and asked where i found it. i didnt want to break anonymity so i just said the neighborhood. then he goes "can i buy you a bottle of booze or something"??? i laughed so hard...i was like 'uhh i dont think u wanna do that'...lol.

anyways it felt great.

I've left things at meetings several times, they always turn up. I'd rather leave something with a bunch of alcoholics than in the "real" world.

whoa i just met up with him and he gave me 50 bucks! im feeling great now, just knowing how relieved id be if i lost my phone and somebody gave it back to me. i agree an AA meeting is a safer place to lose something than outside in the real world.
