Coming CLEAN!
I have 70 days free and clear of alcohol. However, I have been hitting the smoke (weed) periodically. Every single time I do it, I feel guilt. I guess I am going for broke now. I am going to go ahead and be CLEAN OF EVERYTHING!!!
I am not going to give up my chips LOL I do have 70 days free of alcohol. But today is day 3 without any other substances. I hold myself accountable. Every time I have smoked I felt incredibly guilty. SO...NO MORE!
Edited to add: I thought I would be ok occasionally smoking because that wasn't my problem. Alcohol was, but my heart is telling me that I have to quit it ALL!

i am the same way....clean from drugs but I drink beer sometimes and have decided not to drink anymore.....I just know that it could be a problem and am not willing to risk a serious relapse for a cold beer with my BBQ......I don't do NA not because I think the program doesn't work---I read the text ....but around here in my small town it is AA only and some of the guys are always pestering me. i just want to say it's not social hour...the nearest meeting is 45 minutes away...so i do my own thing and it is working...I am 3 days away from 3 months....longest ever (cept when I was prego twice)

Thank so much, smyle. It is nice to be validated once in a while. I thought, ahhh weed, no biggy. But it just doesn't "feel" right. The guilt consumes me every time I smoke. GEE, Who wants that???? I am moving in the right direction. I feel so good. I have started sleeping semi normally again. Things are great!
I feel bad when I read others posts and they are having such a hard time. You just want them to stick with it so they can get to where we are. Not thinking about drugs or alcohol all the time, sleeping good and just being generally a HAPPY person; these are all things to look forward to. I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO happy that God let me see what I was doing to myself and my family.
Good luck with your not drinking, we need to keep each other in line. Example:
me: Hey, smyle wassup you drinking?
Smyle: Hey nope not drinking, you smoking?
me: NOPE not a chance!@!!!!!
