🛫 🏔️🌲🌲🧑🏼🦳💝
It’s been a long travel day but me & Mark (son) are up here in Northern Idaho with my Mom . She’s here still in the house my Dad & her shared. About 23 years ago, my parents bought 20 acres after they retired, moving from an L.A. suburb.
My sister had come up 30 years ago. They both lived off the same dirt road, as do 4 other neighbors. As both our parents aged, and the health problems came in their 80’s, my sis has done all the caretaking. She is my Angel.
My Mom is lonely, this April would have been 70 years married. Tomorrow would have been my Dad’s 90th. We are baking his favorite cake, and I brought up the See’s chocolates. No visit was complete without the See’s. As he grew older, the box was hidden, his personal stash. He deserved it and more.
I’m pooped, but happy we’re here .
Count me in for my next 24.
