🌌👼🏼🙏🏼🧔🏻♂️ Happy 40th Birthday today to my dear nephew Robert, who is heaven. In August it was 7 years since he died. Had he not relapsed he would be celebrating 9 years this month. But, he did, and he drove his motorcycle very drunk, with no helmet, and collided with a deer on a dirt rode in the middle of the night.
His wife knew he relapsed. But, my nephew was ashamed and didn’t tell me, Uncle Ken or our son Mark.
Robert is part of my sober story. One I tell each year. Praying that someone will hear, and tell somebody IF they are thinking of OR have relapsed.
We fellow alcoholics understand better than anyone. No shame here.
Please ….. Speak up and we can all come out of this valley alive.
