Good morning from soggy Pennsylvania. I had a rather restless night sleep wise, but still 100% better than trying to sleep after drinking-no waking up at 3AM with a racing heart and horrible anxiety.

Onto Day 2. I won't drink today.

Welcome back Citrus and Sam witch!

Venus I would love a hydrangea or 2! I remember you have quite the green thumb as well. Post some pics of your lovely garden if you can. My hubs is really good with plants as well.

Up enjoying my decaffeinated coffee and getting ready for a long work week ahead. At least next Monday we have July 4th holiday here in USA. And paid 2! Yay!

Glad to see more posting and people returning. 🙌
Lets make it a great day and as always make it count!

FYI ,I actually got that saying from my doctor when complaining about how I hated getting old. She said well you've got to make everyday count. She's correct. We all do, no matter our age. Since my hubs diagnosis I realize how important everyday is now.

What I really meant to say was I took for granted many many years of my life while actively boozing. I didn't appreciate anything much and at those times I really didn't care. As long as I could feed my addiction. I'm glad my perspective has changed. Sorry I don't have a good way of expressing myself at times. Definitely not the public speaker.. lol.

Love that Stubbs-making every day count. Very true.

Very windy here too. Been wild the last few days. More like a January night than a June afternoon.

Utterly exhausted. Could have fallen asleep at work today. Scary how much it takes out of us.
Take care all.xx

Finally not very windy here. It has been windy a lot this year.
Enjoying my day for the most part. Got in a long walk, went over to help my Mom which is always challenging, did some errands and now just got of my rower. I hope to do some sewing and weights later on today. What am I NOT going to do....?? Drink

Ooof, I can relate to that 3am darkest hour Samwitch. 😒 . I do not miss that at all either !! . Wouldn't even trade for my 2/3 bathroom visits a night now from drinking too much tea and lemon water (which is totally driving me mad &#128579 . Straight back to sleep though. No anxiety, panic attacks no "oh god what did I say , why did I do that how much did I drink, check Facebook quick " eek !! . Horrible, lonely, times !! 😥

Let's never forget !!

Evening everyone Lovely sunny evening here, a little cooler than yesterday and still gorgeous.
Still feeling sort of muzzy headed, but much much better as time goes on.
I hadn't realised that my brain wasn't working until it's started working a bit better again.

Tired again, probably another early night

Cooler here today which is nice. Kind of cranky this afternoon, after helping my Mom,but it shall pass. I would rather be cranky and alert then drinking alcohol any day of the week.

I really don't remember the ups and mostly downs ever being this bad or extreme before. Perhaps the next stage?

Congrats on day 8 Bopdrop.
Things got progressively worse withdrawal wise for me the more years I drank, for sure.

Morning all. Hope everyone is well and staying strong 💪

Congrats Bob and Ral 😁 👏
Definitely my worst quit this time Bob. It scared me to death. No fun when your legs won't do what they're supposed to.
I'm certainly not risking a repeat or worse of that again. Hope your feeling better today.

Have a lovely day everyone 😊

Morning all.
Hi Bob, my withdrawals in the past years have been extremely bad too. Very bad physically where I feel I don't know if I'll have the strength to physically survive but the worst has been the mental feeling of literally being in Hell. I suppose that's the depressive effect of alcohol, but its very extreme. For me it's the later stages, I never used to be that bad.
(Didn't happen this time fortunately, I managed to get out before that)
