Class of July 2013 Part 63
After morning walkies, so sore (today's pain guest is lower back), and nauseous, bathed in sweat.
No matter. Short rest- then shopping, filled scripts, doggie drive.
Tuckered out little mate..Attached Images

Hi all xx
haven’t posted in ages…life, Hope you all are well. I’ll try to catch up on posts on the weekend.
Just realised it’s my 8 year official soberversary on Saturday April 1
cant even comprehend that I haven’t had a drink in 8 years. So proud of myself. I did the “impossible”…who am I? Haha

I’d love to know how everyone is going xxx
sending you all much love and I’m so glad you all check in here from time to time

Bob, you are right. I don’t post very often now any more, but I treasure you all. My goodness, this July marks a decade, where has the time gone?
Snooz, keep fighting for you. Some of your happiest posts here were your sober stretches. xx

Hello Everyone,
I hope you are all doing fine. I know I haven’t posted in a long time so I thought I’d check in.
A lot has happened since I last posted. I sold my house, and moved into an over 55 apartment community. I am very happy here and enjoy my surroundings. It’s new with all the newer updated things I didn’t have in my house. I didn’t want to buy anything as I don’t want to have to worry about any upkeep or problems. The staff here is wonderful. If you have an issue, you go to the portal type in what needs to be done and before you can turn around they’re here to fix the problem.
Everyone in my family is doing just fine. My granddaughters are grown now. One is in college and one will be a senior in high school next year. I’ve grown very close to my daughter-in-law as she’s been very loving and helpful to me.
Healthwise, I was recently diagnosed with a blood clot in my lower leg. It’s small and should not be an issue going forward, but it’s quite painful. During this time, I also broke the pinky toe on that same leg. Not a good combination, to say the least, but I’m dealing with it as best I can… wearing a special shoe and trying to stay positive.
Sadly, I had to put my last dog to sleep in mid January. He had a very fast growing cancer, and I could not let him suffer. I miss him terribly.
He was so much company to me. I loved him; he was my buddy.
My children are encouraging me to consider getting another little dog. But I think I’m too old now. It’s sad.
I hope life is treating you all fairly. Life can be very hard at times, we just have to keep moving forward as best we can.
My very best wishes to each and everyone of you.
Croutie

Croutie, hiiiiiii xxx
im so glad you have found your little niche and that your daughter in law is being kind to you ( as she should ) lol.
downsizing is perfect as we get older . I’ve been into minimalisimg and clearing out all bits of stuff in my house I don’t use or I have stored for years and will never use .
it’s so cathartic.
I honestly think another dog would be perfect for you . Try a shelter that has senior dogs , but not too senior.
you would be doing a wonderful thing, plus giving yourself a companion as you age .
Shaun’s not a talker , so most of my conversations are with my dogs, cats and chickens 🐔
they bring me so much joy . I would feel so lonely otherwise .
it’s just so good to hear from you

Hi PJ and Snoozy
its really great to hear from you Croutie - I'm so sorry about your dog but your community sounds great!
My parents are in a similar community now and love it just as you do
