Another 24 please , 6.20am

10:30 pm in California and checking in for another 24. Thing s here are going well, busy, but good. My daughter had her first cross country race last Friday, it was the first high school event in almost a year. The nice thing is XC allows for spreading out, so I was able to watch her run. Girls and boys varsity are running together this yess an attempt to have the kids out for less time at events. She ended up winning her race by about a minute, and she also managed to beat four varsity boys along the way, after the race I asked her how she felt, and she said good, she said she could have gone faster, but she didn’t really need to, she also said her shoe came untied about a mile in, so she was running with it open for more than half of the race. She has her next race this coming Friday on their home course.

My other daughter was named Varsity Swim Captain the other day. She is a junior, and the other two captains are seniors, there are close to 60 kids on varsity swim, so it was a pretty big deal, she was recommended by the current captain when the coach asked for input, and he said that’s who he would have selected as well. She has her first inter squad meet this Saturday, and it sounds like we are actually going to get to go. Then Saturday afternoon my son has his baseball assessment, this is a big deal for him, he played for a few years when he was younger, but hadn’t played in a put five years until this past four when he joined a fun fall league, that just had practices. He will be starting HS next year, and he really wants to play, but it is very competitive, and making the team won’t be easy, so all he can do is practice, and try his best, and that will start with assessment on Saturday.

Work is good, just VERY busy. I am in the midst of four big projects and I’ve mapped out timelines, for them, but it is definitely a lot. Then there are the normal every day work things that must get done as well. Today I sketched a strategic plan for one and timetable for another. I’m mid creation for two others. My brain is tired thinking about it?

Good morning everyone. Delilah, your schedule sounds like mine! Both of my boys are in swimming. We are getting close to the end of our club season, divisionals and state coming up in beginning of March. My oldest has middle school swim meets starting in March. Then it will be baseball for my younger and golf for my older in the spring. It's good to keep them busy. I've mentioned this in the past but after I stopped drinking, even though I thought I was hiding it...ha, my kids all of the sudden started doing better in school and performing much better in athletics. shocker huh? I'm happy for the change but I clearly wasn't aware of how much I was having a negative impact on them.

And for that reason i'm most definitely in for 24!

That's too funny Tom, but a lot of truth in it lol. Anger and resentment don't get us very far, and most likely will cost us even more in the long run.
