Another check-in. Start SR posts first thing and early.
Looking forward to 24 hours of contented and motivated sobriety and clean time @ 0930.
Working on getting some meat in the house with refreshments.
I like mixing diet soda and lite lemonade with ice.
Having three meals delivered in a bit from ADVOCAP.
Working on being contented instead of napping.
Beautiful weather ... cool is just fine.

Oh, WTG milestoners. An inspiration to us all.

Dreading the rest of the day. I have been diagnosed with arthritis of the neck. (Ironically I was in hospital because of my alcohol consumption but because I mentioned my sore neck they did a barrage of tests). I have a TENS 'pen' which usually works. On the odd occasion it doesn't I have to take pain killers. Strong pain killers!!! In the past it has resulted in me rambling on line like a drunken fart.

Today is a pen not working day (maybe because of the rain?) so just taken some pain killers. Will turn the laptop off in a few minutes but can't promise I won't be back later wittering rubbish. If I do please don't assume the worst. These pain killers will stop me getting down the stairs, let alone walking to the shops,

That is so sweet of you, thank you. I guess I'm better off than many. In her early 20s my cousin was a star in the 'leatherwork' world, worked for one of the top stores in London, trained in Italy. She was then diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. She ended up on the tills in a local supermarket. She used to leave the house by moving down the outside stairs backside by backside.

Her husband started to go for jogs in the early hours. He sued her for divorce saying she wasn't awake enough to cook him breakfast when he got home Turned out his 'jogs' included visits to her best friend for a bit of 'nudge nudge, wink, wink!).

I should warn you - a friend of mine (left the UK when we were 14 to emigrate) manages the Short North Tavern at 674 N. High St,Columbus, OH 43215. I would love to see Hez again but if I do - you're nearby so may well request a 'recovery hug' x

I have arthritis as well, just sharing....pain is not fun.
My worst pain is my very bad TMJ (jaw issue), like right now.
Need to realx my face. he he.

Sorry I haven’t checked in for a couple of days. Things are getting a little “ouchy” with the chemo cream - painful twinges on the face and more prolonged pain on the chest area. Another 9 days to go on the face and three more weeks to go on the chest. I staggered the start dates on the two areas to try to stagger the pain levels. I am glad that I did. The nerve endings are closer to the surface of the skin on the chest area and I was told to expect more pain there.

Count me in, please.

Hi everyone, just a quick check in for 24.
Grateful to be home, in the warm and getting ready for a bath and early night again 😂

Last day of work tomorrow then a week off. Don’t know exactly what I’ll do with it but looking forward to a rest...

I bought some comfy new pillows for my bed today and can’t wait to try them out, must be getting old!

Trying to just stay humble and be gentle and quiet tonight. Perhaps I’ll read for a while after my bath...

Feeling like I’m in a dead end relationship right now and that’s not easy, but I don’t want to cause any hurt so it’s tricky... I’m sure the way will become clear, but it’s foggy at the moment.

Anyway, the rain is just starting again here. That’s my cue to open the windows and try to relax.
