As I was at the airport this morning I went to buy a few little things in the shop before boarding, as I was leaving my coins dropped all over the floor, as I was picking them up I realized one of the coins was my two year chip, maybe it was some sort of reminder to take that out and celebrate an entire new year of sobriety.
I am so very blessed to celebrate three years of sobriety today. The past three years have been filled with wonderful memories, and accomplishments, and some devastatingly difficult moments, like losing my mom this past week. As I hit the three year mark, I know I have no desire to ever have alcohol back in my life. There was not even a fleeting thought of drinking the past few days. I went for walks every day while I was at my mom's house. Long walks from her house around the lake and back, the weather was cold, but the release was perfect.
For anyone joining this thread today, life without alcohol is so much better, and learning healthy outlets for the times when you feel like you can't go on is so very important.
I love each of you in my 24 hour and SR family, and I'm so grateful for the love and support the past three years.
With that, checking in for my first 24 of 2019, I hope it is a year filled with love, laughter and health for each and every one of us.

The last 24 was so good I'll be needing another batch.
It's my birthday today so I'll be celebrating this evening with my family. We'll have likely a little too much fabulous food, uplifting conversation and they can drink what they want. I'll be having a bottomless soda with mountains of crushed ice and I'll enjoy every moment of my day because it's filled with so much potential.
We're all filled with so much potential.
