We have ordered room service steaks!

I'm headed down to the ice machine to make myself a mocktail containing pineapple, pineapple juice, lime juice, and ginger beer!

I first tasted this "Pineapple Mule" in Florida and loved it, so I have arranged to bring the ingredients here to the hotel and prepare it for myself (my husband stays away from carbs, so it's a solo treat).

That sounds delicious Kathy I’ve never heard of a pineapple mule before

I recently discovered a mocktail unimaginitively called “All the greens”: mint, apple, cucumber and lime juice. It’s not sweet, it’s actually slightly sour but really, really good and very refreshing, especially on a hot day

Have a lovely time at the hotel

I just mixed it.

I couldn't find decent directions that sounded like the one in FL, so I improvised.

Fill a 12-oz. mug 3/4 full of ice cubes.
Put in 2 big squeezes of reconstituted lime juice
Add a fistful of pineapple chunks
Pour in 1/2 of a 6-oz. can of pineapple juice
Top off with ginger beer (it's not alcoholic).

Spicy, sweet but not too sweet, and very refreshing!

Dinner just arrived! Time to awaken Sleeping Beauty!

Love that saying Ann! With the loaves.

Morning Kathy., hope you slept well. What’s your delights for breakfast this morning?

I remember a few years ago me and hubby went to Croatia and he’s not much of a breakfast person and after the first breakfast he didn’t come down with me! I enjoyed the delights of fresh fruit salad, then a stuffed omelette and lashings of coffee and fruit juice, it set me up for the day. I loved it! I did take him a croissant back to our room, on his request every morning, until he got gout!

Morning Gilmer & Friends.

Watching a beautiful sunrise over the lake from the giant screened-in porch.

Egrets and Herons flying by, and the early fishermen of a weekend morning.

First flocks of Canada Geese are honking their way North while the hickory nuts are dropping like hard rain on the roof.

Wish you were here--can't embed the video if someone could help me out. (Acoustic version plz )

Good morning, gang!

Hawk, you can embed a YouTube video by selecting the YouTube button above, then entering everything after the equals sign.

I just had a couple pieces of bacon plus a ham, cheese, spinach, and mushroom omelette. Just sitting sipping my coffee now. Soon I’ll order a sausage, cheese, onion, and pepper omelette for my husband and take it up to him.
