Just want to pop in and say it's not really true, what I said before....I am not unwell, I am sad to the max....it is/was my dad's birthday and I am missing him terribly.
And if it wasn't for the truly amazing man and dad he was, I wouldn't be here.
I messed up so much for so long that I never had any money.....or any choices....got so bad I didn't have shoes or food....years ago now......but because of my sobriety and my dad I am here, in a new life with everything I need. I am beyond grateful. And beyond emotional right now.
I miss him so much.
I love you guys....thank you for indulging me. ♥♥

I'd like to check in for another 24 hours...
I am doing good.. Feeling positive and I'm in a good place emotionally. I have finished my 4th chemo last week (i think?!!) and that's it for me for now until I have a CT scan mid July. I was meant to have 12 rounds but I had scary cardiac problems. If anything comes back on the scan I will move on to the next course of treatment.. So just taking it one day at a time.
I have been given the all clear to go overseas with my boys... We were already booked to go to Bali next Friday, and I hadn't got round to cancelling so it's worked out well. 10 glorious days of nothing!!! This will be my first overseas trip sober so I need to stay vigilant..

I have strong faith....and when I hold on tight to the people and things I love, my world turns in the right direction.....my sister answered my message about my dad on FB and I feel close to her today even though we are so far apart and it has been so long since we have seen each other....and then my beautiful friend Nic lets us know that she is doing better....this is the truly good stuff. The blessings. ♥♥

Treatment is fine as long as we have you honey.....I feel so hopeful for you now.....good freaking stuff.

Awww Venuscat ❤️ Your Dad lives on in your heart and because of him you’re here, such an amazing, wonderful, beautiful person with so much love to give. Biggest hugs to you ❤️
And hugs also to you Nic. Enjoy the time with your boys, what a lovely thing to do together, I’m so glad it’s worked out that you can go! Stay positive, I’m a real believer in the power of positive thinking! My Dad got through cancer 30 years ago and is still here with us today. Sadly he has it again now, but 30 years later! He has been having chemo, we actually nearly lost him recently and he’s not been well at all, but he is doing a lot better now ❤️

I spoke with my own Dad twice today (and my Mom too, though she didn't remember the earlier call). . I needed a reminder to myself to be in the moment, not to future trip about the What If's and When's in my Life. Yep. Thank you SR Family for always being here, love you all!
