24Hour Recovery Connection Part 339
Hi guys!
Just snuggling down for a little read of SR before an early night.
Well I've been on the diet 1 week and not lost a thing! Not a pound!
BUT I've noticed some positives.
1) I am not addicted to sugar or junk food. Changing my eating habits has been an adjustment yes but with sensible planning I'm quite happy doing it.
2) I'm glad that I've not suffered any alcohol cravings as a result of the moderately increased hunger. Phew!
3) I will have to treat weight loss like my recovery. A slow steady process. No quick fix here.
4) Perhaps a coincidence but I feel more energised now that I'm eating better things.
So despite my inner-toddler throwing a mild tantrum that I've not lost any weight I pleased that there are positives to the experience so far.
Now is the right time for me to make changes like this to keep going in the right direction. I won't be out jogging any time soon but I'm quite happy.
More love to you all. I just love this thread ❤❤❤

Maybe you could hire a treadmill jo....we just bought one. I cannot wait till it gets here. I like my exercise in manageable doses with no one pushing me to go faster.
And love.....don't let yourself be hungry honey. There are zero calorie fillers like celery and if you want to be naughty you can put a bit of philly light on it.
Love you lots. ♥

I'll be careful Suze I promise!
My yoga class isn't on this Friday so I'm (literally) going to take the plunge and go for a swim instead. Swimming, walking and yoga are enough for me right now.
Ooh a treadmill! That's serious stuff! Of course you can power walk on those too can't you? Hmmmm that's a thought.
Love you too sweetie xxx

afternoon all! checking in, seeing how the world is treating everyone. the girls (dogs) and I got our 2.5 mile walk in before work. they only were scared twice, once another dog barked at them and the other time an ambulance went screaming by. For border collie/heelers bravery is not their thing.
take care all!

Neoo- I have watched and shared in your recovery- for the good things you now accomplish. So well done.
Weaver- I see my whole life as being in 'recovery'. It reflects a whole different way of living- mind work stuff is the hardest.
A ball and chain represent a past I so desperately face off from..as any change gives my brain food to resist that change. I see myself as a rock- granite- in a stormy sea, where to waves that wash over me are the issues in my life that overcome that wave of anxiety, self damaging thoughts. They settle down a bit, but in recovery- provided I keep on doing what I am now..I will be fine.
